Be part of a rapidly expanding earmould manufacturing company based in Newbury, West Berkshire. We are looking to recruit several new positions after being awarded a larger contract by the NHS. The company provides products directly to NHS hospitals across the UK as well as private clinics and industry. We are a small laboratory based company operating in the audiology sector. We are expanding to meet the demands of our new and existing customers. We are looking for enthusiastic and committed individuals to fill several new positions within the organisation. Earmould Technicians

Very Competitive Salary, 8:30am to 5pm ( 40 hrs per week)

As an Earmould Technician you will support the Laboratory Managers in making custom ear inserts for musicians, sports people, security personnel, but with majority being made for hearing aid users young and old. The role involves various tasks throughout the manufacturing process; including mixing and pouring materials (acrylics and silicone) and manually hand finishing the bespoke products by shaping and polishing to a high quality finish. Whether you are an experienced or inexperienced technician who's ready to learn, our highly skilled team will provide you with full training. Earmould or dental technician experience is highly desirable but not required.

Duties

  • Investigate initial impressions
  • Pour / pack the investment to create the mould
  • Grind and polish the moulds
  • Verify and record temperatures
  • Trim and prepare ear impressions
  • Perform quality control on the products
  • Maintain cleanliness in the workplace
  • Support health and safety objectives
  • Replenish material stock

Skills

  • Good attention to detail to maintain high product quality
  • Good manual dexterity
  • Willingness to learn about new materials and manufacturing techniques
  • Ability to work well within a team
  • Excellent time management skills
  • Good eyesight to identify shapes, trademarks and serial numbers

Experience

  • • Prior experience in a dental or earmould laboratory preferred but not essential.

Start date: As soon as possible
